The UHSSE UCONN ECE Marine Science Class will be racing their student designed and produced boat this Friday 9/19 at UCONN Avery Point. This year the race theme is "Your going to need a bigger boat" in honor of the 50th anniversary of Jaws. In addition to the race, there is an award for the People's Choice Boat- voting will be conducted through Instagram @UCONN_ECE. Everyone is invited to vote for UHSSE (picture of our boat is below).
The first round of voting will be today/Thursday from 2pm-7pm,
If we make it past the first round- please continue to vote for us!!! Thank you!!!
Voting will take place on @UConn_ECE Instagram story, via single elimination. Polls will include boat photo (below), name of boat (Meg-a lodon), and name of high school( UHSSE).
Round 1 (Thursday 9/18 2:00PM-7:00PM) includes all boats. Three to four boat photos will be in a poll/ story. Multiple stories will be posted at the same time to accommodate all boat photos.
Round 2 (Thursday 9/18, 7:00PM-12:00AM) includes all winners from round one, again in multiple stories with three to four boat photos per poll/ story.
Round 3 (Friday 9/19, 12:00AM-7:00AM) is the Championship Round. The winners from round two will be represented in one poll in one story.
Spread the word throughout the school and your families to vote for our boat!
Winner will be announced at the awards presentation at the UConn ECE Cardboard Boat Race on Friday. Thank you!!
